I loved Vanessa and Dean’s nerdy co-workers, just a fling, healing romance with a side of mystery and light danger. This story had the perfect balance of fun, laughs, love, real life issues, mystery, and spice. Vanessa and Dean are portrayed as real, relatable people who have flaws, but are really just trying to do their best as messy humans trying not to keep repeating the same mistakes. The Judsons, six famous Hollywood siblings, have started a reality show building a community at a former cult compound where the community members live and work while being filmed. Unfortunately, someone does not want the show to be a success. Dean Judson is the show’s CEO and is all about control and managing things. He is also post recent pubic breakup with a cheating fiancée and is not interested in the coupling up part of the show. Vanessa is an accountant who is hired as the CFO for the new show. She has a bunch of baggage from her past relationships and childhood and is also not interested in a relationship ever. Of course, they are both wildly attracted to each other and work well together so a quick fling should get them out of each’s systems. Right? Ha. With all the other stuff going on in addition to their regular baggage, the journey to Vanessa and Dean’s HEA is a bit bumpy but was such a healing journey for both of them. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline with all the best things. I loved the confessionals that set up each chapter and the internal monologues. They were both perfect plot devices for this story. I am excited to read the next sibling HEA.
